Creator Terms

These Creator Terms apply to verified creators on Giffap, in addition to our Terms of Service. By applying or uploading as a creator you agree to them.

1. Who can be a creator

  • You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher).
  • You must complete identity verification: a short video in which you hold a paper showing your Giffap username and the one-time code shown on the application page.
  • The verification video is used only to review your application, is visible only to Giffap staff and is deleted once a decision is made.

2. What you may upload

  • Only content you created yourself or have all the rights to publish.
  • Every person appearing in your content must be at least 18 years old at the time it was recorded and must have given consent to being recorded and to its publication on Giffap.
  • No content involving minors, non-consent, violence, bestiality, incest, intoxication used to remove consent, or anything illegal where you or Giffap operate.
  • No spam, misleading titles, or content that infringes someone else's rights.

3. Records (18 U.S.C. § 2257)

For content you produce, you are the producer. You must keep the identity and age records required by the laws that apply to you (including 18 U.S.C. § 2257 where relevant) for every performer, and provide them to Giffap on request. Giffap may remove content and suspend accounts when records are not provided.

4. Review and removal

  • Uploads may be reviewed before they are published. We may decline or remove any upload at our discretion.
  • You can schedule an upload to go live later (up to 90 days ahead). If it is still waiting for review at that time, it goes live as soon as it is approved.
  • Valid copyright or consent complaints (see DMCA) lead to removal. Repeat violations lead to losing verified status and the account.

5. Re-upload protection and ownership claims

  • To protect creators, every upload is compared with the videos already on Giffap. For this we keep a fingerprint of each video: a short list of numbers, one per second of video. It cannot be turned back into pictures and is deleted together with the video.
  • Uploads that contain footage already published on Giffap by another account are not accepted. You can always cut new clips from your own videos.
  • If your upload matches a video that Giffap added itself (not posted by a creator), you can claim it. We check every claim and, if the video is yours, move it to your profile. False claims lead to losing verified status.

6. Your profile, links and LIVE badge

Your public profile and link page are free. Links must not lead to malware, phishing, illegal content or deceptive pages. Giffap may disable links that break these rules.

If you add your Stripchat username, we first check that the room is yours. While you broadcast, a LIVE badge then appears next to your name and links to your room through Giffap's Stripchat partner link. You can remove your username at any time in Creator Studio.

7. Licence

You keep ownership of your content. You give Giffap a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, format and promote it on Giffap and its channels for as long as it is published, and for a reasonable time after removal for backups and legal needs.

8. Ending verified status

You can stop being a creator at any time by contacting us. We may revoke verified status if these terms are broken.
